Currently, the Town in collaboration with the Thompson’s Station Community Center is making improvements to the Thompson’s Station Park. A new playground border has replaced the old weathered railroad ties that were previously in place. The sand box was relocated and a concrete sidewalk was placed around the sand box for accessibility. New playground equipment was purchased and will be installed as weather permits. The Town is currently working on the construction of a new wooden train and a depot structure for the playground. The Town hopes to have all these improvements completed by Spring 2012.
