On May 1, 2019, Kenneth McLawhon proudly signed on as the third (3rd) Town Administrator for the Town of Thompson's Station - one (1) of six (6) municipalities located in Williamson County, TN.  He serves as the administrative head to the town and is responsible for the day-to-day operations. Ken works closely with the Town Boards and Commissions to advise on important decisions. He ensures that the policies and programs approved by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) are implemented in an effective and efficient manner. 

Throughout his career, Ken has accumulated three (3) decades of experience as a Municipal Executive in towns across Virginia, Maryland, and Tennessee. Prior to serving the Town of Thompson's Station,  he put his servant leadership style to work with keen strategic thinking and continuous improvement skills to foster quality and bottom-line results. Along with his devotion to local municipalities, he also served in the United Stated Marine Corps. as a Sergeant and received various awards, medals, and acknowledgements during this time.

Ken and his wife, Susy, like to enjoy the beautiful nature Tennessee has to offer by hiking local trails with their beloved standard poodle, Maxwell. Outside of his work life, Ken is a car enthusiast and enjoys visiting automotive museums.
