The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...

Southeastern Davidson County in Middle Tennessee...

Rutherford County in Middle Tennessee...

Williamson County in Middle Tennessee...

Southeastern Wilson County in Middle Tennessee...

* Until 700 PM CDT.

* At 356 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing

heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have

already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...

Murfreesboro, Franklin, Smyrna, Brentwood, La Vergne, Spring Hill,

Nolensville, Thompson's Station, Walterhill, Eagleville, Lascassas,

Triune, Cedars Of Lebanon State Park, Rockvale, Leipers Fork,

Milton and Readyville.

This includes the following highways...

Interstate 65 between mile markers 53 and 71.

Interstate 24 between mile markers 63 and 86.

Interstate 840 between mile markers 19 and 65.


Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small

creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as

well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
