[ARCHIVED] Critz Ln Project Update: Stage 2 Detours Begin - DELAYED - TBD

As of May 31 2:00pm - Stage 2 will be delayed.  We will update as soon as more information is available.

The Critz Lane Redesign Project:

Stage 1 road closures started on Feb. 15th and will be ending May 31st, 2022. This closed a 1/4 mile section of Critz Ln East of Clayton Arnold Rd to the western edge of Bridgemore Village.

Stage 2, starting May 31st, will close the intersection of Clayton Arnold Rd and Critz Ln and will detour traffic through the Otterham Dr in the new Avenue Downs subdivision.  Lionscrest Ln will also be open for Canterbury residents to exit East onto Critz Ln.

Project Update from Contracted Roadway Engineers at Ragan/Smith working with Rogers Group Builders:

"Rogers Group will be finishing the basestone later this week (5/20/22) and installing the first lift of asphalt up to the Avenue Downs intersection on Saturday, May 21st. They will then install the second lift (binder) on Monday, May 23rd. Once the binder is installed, temporary striping will be put in place and the contractor will be ready to start Phase 2 of the traffic shift. The traffic shift should be in place on Tuesday, May 31st. Rogers Group will have their traffic control subcontractor come out by the end of this week or the beginning of next week (no less than 7 days from the date of the proposed shift) to change the message boards to reflect the new traffic pattern date. The message boards will be left in place for approximately 2 to 3 weeks after the shift and then removed from the project.  On May 31st, the traffic control subcontractor will cover and/or remove any of the unnecessary signage from the detour routes and uncover and/or install the new signs at their proposed locations for the new detour routes that carry traffic into Avenue Downs and Canterbury. This shift will also close the intersection at Clayton Arnold and Critz Lane"
