The Tennessee Department of Transportation is beginning a road widening project on Columbia Pike. The widening begins at State Route 840 for approximately 3/4 mile to just south of Critz Lane. Clearing for the right of way will begin within the next week followed by utility work. Come of this clearing does include tree removals as a result of the widening. MTEMC, AT&T, the Town of Thompson’s Station and HB&TS are among the utility providers that will be working to relocate and install utilities along Columbia Pike. Please exercise caution while driving through the Town. In addition, lane shifts will be necessary as the project moves forward in the coming months so for updates please check periodically on the Town’s website, Facebook page or you can view information on TDOT SmartWay https://smartway.tn.gov/ and https://smartway.tn.gov/traffic/. Thank you for your attention and patience as we work to improve our roadways.
